Tall Ships Rally

Slightly sloping field 7 miles from Durham City, 9 miles to sandy beach and 10 miles to Hartlepool.
The Tall Ships arrive at Hartlepool over the weekend and will sail out on the Tuesday with a parade north along the coast.
The rally will open at 9.00am to give early arrivals the chance to go into Hartlepool to view the ships and the recently refurbished waterfront in the afternoon or evening.
No gathering will be arranged for the first night to allow members to visit Hartlepool to see the tall ships tied up.
Nearby attractions include Beamish open air museum, High Force waterfall, bird cliffs and the Metro Centre.

For any steam enthusiasts. There is a steam train running from York to Hartlepool on Monday 9th August, the 1st day of the rally. It is L.M.S Jubilee 4-6-0 5690 Leander and is due in at Harlepool at 13:20 and due to leave again for York at 17:30.
