2012 Abbey Caravan Club Rallies
The difference between Abbey Caravan Club rallies and most other caravan clubs is that we always attempt to run our rallies for more than just the weekend, in fact in 2012 there are only four 2 night rallies, all other rallies are at least 3 nights with many rallies of 5 nights and more.

Friday 16th March - Sunday 18th March
Spring Committee Meeting Rally, Ansty, Warwickshire
Canal walks and Coventry way from site. Skittles evening on Saturday at social club. Close by bowling, binema, shops, restaurants and Coventry Motor Museum.
Thursday 29th March - Monday 2nd April
Fooling Around in April, Burbage, Leicestershire
Free and easy rally. Outside sports plus fun and games.
Thursday 5th April - Tuesday 10th April
The Final Goodbye to Moddershall, Moddershall, Stone, Staffordshire
Visit nearby Trentham Shopping Village, not far from Alton Towers.
Thursday 12th April - Sunday 15th April
Homestead Rally, Shropshire
Free and easy rally, near to Whittington Castle, Ellesmere the 'North Shropshire Lake District', Acton Burnall Castle, Shrewsbury Castle, Attingham Park, Ironbridge, RAF Cosford and Chester.

Queen's Birthday, Stratford upon Avon, Warwickshire
Street party type fun and games with fancy dress parade and contest – theme Kings and Queens

Charity Walk, Northamptonshire
Free and easy rally, B.B.Q most evenings weather permitting.
The walk for the clubs annual charity will take place on the Sunday of the rally. You can walk or cycle for your fundraising on a lovely flat pathway around the lake.

All Around 70, Moggerhanger, Bedfordshire
This will be a country and western weekend for Margaret’s 70th. Lots to do, with a guest appearance Saturday night of Rick O’Chet, the cockney cowboy.

Skipton 4 Yorkshire Dales, North Yorkshire
5 day rally at new venue. Small visitor farm with access to animals, café on site. Close to Yorkshire Dales and Pendle Hill, Skipton and Colne for shopping. Nearby Leeds-Liverpool canal and Pendle Way.

Sedgefield Mediaeval Fayre, near Durham, County Durham
7 miles from Durham City, 9 miles to sandy beach, 10 miles to Hartlepool. Nearby attractions include Beamish open air museum, High Force waterfall, bird cliffs, railway museum, Stockton railway museum and the Metro Centre.

Communal dinner, plus other activities to be arranged. Harry’s on site music evening will be 21st June – midsummer, and a local village Music Festival takes place during the second rally week.

This is a lovely area and is close to the National Forest and National Arboretum that is well worth a visit. We are planning to organise a treasure hunt throughout the village and a communal barbeque weather permitting.

Help for Heros Charity Rally, Hamstall Ridware, Staffordshire
Fun and games, side stalls, cream teas. Bacon Butties on Saturday morning (for charity). Much more. Near to Alrewas Memorial Arboretum. The Country coordinator of Help For heroes will be presented with a cheque for the money raised by the club.

Chairman's Rally, Bretford, Warwickshire
This is a large field with a hall on site. Committee meeting Saturday morning, B.B.Q Saturday evening with desserts provided by the Chairman, this will be followed by a social.

Free and easy rally near to Rudyard Lake, stunning views and many attractions a short distance away – Derbyshire Moors, Buxton, Ashbourne, Trentham Gardens, plus Heaton House Farm annual Country Fayre.

This rally has the attractions of the Farm Park itself plus the site is ideally situated for Cotswold touring.

BBQ on Saturday evening otherwise a free and easy weekend, plus the delights of the farm and shop.

Alongside a disused railway line, now a cycle way. Also the Jurassic way runs nearby to give excellent walking. The market town of Market Harborough is about 1 mile away.

With the exception of the formal AGM meeting on Saturday morning, this is a family friendly rally, in true Abbey style, including the club’s photographic competition, Saturday evening there is a meal plus entertainment for all the family.
